Terms & Conditions

Read the terms and conditions for using Afrigora, including marketplace purchases, tailoring services, wallet use, messaging, AI Assistant, seller obligations, and account deactivation or deletion.

Last updated: July 28, 2026

01

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Afrigora, including our website, mobile experiences, marketplace, wallet, and related services.

By creating an account, placing an order, funding a wallet, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

02

Eligibility & Accounts

Account requirements

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.
  • You must be legally able to enter into binding agreements in your jurisdiction.
  • Business, vendor, and tailor accounts must provide truthful business details and comply with applicable laws.
03

Marketplace Use

Afrigora provides a platform connecting buyers with sellers, tailors, and service providers. Unless explicitly stated, Afrigora is not the manufacturer of third-party goods listed on the platform.

Customer responsibilities

  • Review product descriptions, pricing, delivery timelines, and seller ratings before purchase.
  • Provide accurate delivery details, measurements, and customization instructions.
  • Communicate respectfully with sellers, tailors, and support staff.
  • Inspect delivered goods promptly and report issues within the timeframes stated in our Refund Policy.

Prohibited conduct

  • Fraudulent orders, false refund claims, or chargeback abuse.
  • Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward users or staff.
  • Attempting to bypass platform fees, escrow protections, or payment systems.
  • Uploading unlawful, misleading, or infringing content.
04

Tailoring & Custom Orders

Custom tailoring orders depend on accurate measurements, design approvals, and timely customer responses.

Customers are responsible for verifying measurements and specifications before work begins.

Tailors are responsible for delivering work that reasonably matches agreed specifications and platform standards.

Disputes relating to custom work are handled according to our Refund Policy and dispute process.

05

Payments & Wallet

Transactions

  • Prices, fees, taxes, and delivery charges are displayed at checkout unless otherwise stated.
  • Wallet funding, transfers, and withdrawals are subject to verification and applicable provider rules.
  • Afrigora may place temporary holds on wallet balances during dispute review or fraud investigation.
  • Failed or duplicate transactions may be reversed in accordance with our Refund Policy.
06

AI Assistant

The Afrigora AI Assistant provides automated help about the platform. It is not a human support agent, tailor, seller, or financial adviser.

Your use of the AI Assistant

  • AI responses are generated automatically and may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. They are not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
  • The AI Assistant is not a substitute for Afrigora customer support, your tailor or seller, or your own judgment on important decisions (orders, payments, measurements, compliance).
  • You are responsible for verifying information before you act on it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afrigora is not liable for loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
  • Do not submit passwords, OTP codes, BVN, or payment card or bank details in AI prompts.
07

Messaging & moderation

Peer messaging between users must follow the same standards as the rest of the platform. Our Privacy Policy describes how chat data is processed.

Conduct and tools

  • Harassment, scams, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, impersonation, spam, and other prohibited conduct in direct messages are not allowed.
  • You may report messages or users and block others. Blocking generally stops new peer messages in both directions.
  • You may hide or archive a conversation from your inbox without blocking the other person.

Afrigora’s role

  • Afrigora may review reports, warn users, restrict features, suspend, or remove access when policies are violated.
  • False, malicious, or abusive use of the report tool may lead to action on your account.
  • We do not monitor every message in real time. Reporting does not guarantee immediate removal of content or accounts.
  • Report and block tools apply to peer chat only, not to the AI Assistant.
08

Seller, Vendor & Tailor Terms

Platform obligations

  • List only products and services you are authorized to sell or provide.
  • Fulfill orders on time and maintain accurate inventory or availability status.
  • Cooperate with customer service, dispute resolution, and compliance requests.
  • Accept valid refund outcomes determined by Afrigora after review.

Afrigora may suspend or remove sellers or tailors who repeatedly violate platform standards or receive excessive valid complaints.

09

Intellectual Property

All Afrigora branding, software, design assets, and platform content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or redistribute platform content without written permission.

Sellers and tailors retain ownership of their own listings and media, but grant Afrigora a license to display that content for marketplace operation.

10

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Afrigora does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that every third-party listing will meet individual expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Afrigora is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from platform use.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

11

Account closure (customer deletion)

Customers may permanently delete their personal Afrigora account through the customer app. Data retention, wallet records, fraud/dispute holds, and Afrigora Pro deactivation are described in our Privacy Policy — Account closure, deactivation & deletion (https://afrigora.biz/privacy#account-closure).

How to delete your customer account

  • Sign in to the Afrigora customer app.
  • Go to Profile → Delete account.
  • Meet eligibility: no open marketplace orders and no open Save Small goals (active or paused).
  • Request an email OTP to your registered address, enter the code, and confirm deletion.

Effect of deletion

  • You are signed out and login credentials for that account stop working.
  • You lose access to order history, peer chat, wallet features, and other in-app data tied to that account, except information we must retain by law or for fraud prevention, disputes, tax, accounting, or similar purposes.
  • Deletion is account closure, not a guarantee of immediate erasure of every record — see our Privacy Policy for retention.

Suspension vs voluntary deletion

  • Voluntary deletion: you start the flow in Profile → Delete account when eligible.
  • Suspension or termination by Afrigora: we may restrict or end access for policy, safety, fraud, or legal reasons — with or without your consent — as described under Suspension & Termination (#termination). Staff action does not replace your right to request data rights under our Privacy Policy where applicable.

Outstanding obligations

  • You must complete or clear open orders, cancel or finish Save Small goals, and settle unpaid amounts or wallet obligations before deletion can succeed where the app enforces those checks.
  • Deleting your account does not erase debts or release you from obligations on orders that completed before deletion.

Vendors, tailors, and Afrigora Pro

  • Business accounts use Afrigora Pro and Deactivate account (not this customer Delete flow). See Suspension & Termination (#termination) and our Privacy Policy.
  • If one login has both customer and business roles, you may need Pro deactivation and/or support help to close everything.

Contact

  • Questions about deletion or eligibility: support@afrigora.biz.
  • Additional access, correction, or erasure requests: https://afrigora.biz/privacy/data-request.
12

Suspension & Termination

Afrigora may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or platform safety standards.

You may stop using the platform at any time, subject to completion of outstanding orders, open Save Small goals, and settlement of wallet obligations.

Vendor / tailor account deactivation

  • Owners, vendors, and tailors may request deactivation of their business account through the Afrigora Pro app or supported settings flow.
  • Deactivation is allowed only when you have no open orders to fulfill and no customers with open Save Small goals on your products.
  • Open orders include orders that are not yet completed, cancelled, refunded, or rejected (for example pending, accepted, in progress, shipped, delivered, or disputed).
  • Open Save Small goals mean active or paused savings goals that still reserve your product stock.
  • When deactivation succeeds, your account is set inactive, stores and tailor profiles are taken offline, and active sessions are ended. You will not be able to sign in until Afrigora support reactivates the account where appropriate.
  • Deactivation does not erase legal records Afrigora must keep (orders, payments, KYC, or dispute history) under applicable law.
  • Pro users who want full erasure after deactivation may submit a request via https://afrigora.biz/privacy/data-request as described in our Privacy Policy.

Customer account deletion

  • See Account closure (customer deletion) (#account-closure) for the in-app steps, eligibility, and effect of deleting a customer account.
  • Deletion is allowed only when you have no open orders and no open Save Small goals (active or paused).
  • When deletion succeeds, your account is closed, you are signed out, and login credentials for that account stop working. Some transaction and compliance records may be retained as required by law or for fraud prevention.
  • If the same login also has a vendor or tailor role, use the vendor/tailor deactivation flow for the business profile, or contact support to close the full account.

Staff-initiated deactivation

  • Afrigora staff may deactivate any account (including vendor, tailor, producer, or customer) for policy, safety, fraud, or operational reasons, without waiting for open orders or Save Small goals to clear.
  • Staff deactivation has the same marketplace effect as self-deactivation for vendors and tailors: the account cannot sign in, stores and tailor profiles go offline, and sessions end.
  • Where appropriate, Afrigora may reactivate an account after review.
13

Changes to These Terms

Afrigora may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date.

Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
