Known in the tech community as Muky Albany, Mukarram Abdulkarim is a software engineer who turned a simple belief into a mission: technology should solve real problems for real people — not sit behind glass walls.
That conviction is the heartbeat of Afrigora. Mukarram saw African tailors, shop owners, and fashion creators doing extraordinary work with limited tools to reach customers, manage orders, and grow beyond their neighbourhoods. He envisioned a platform where culture, commerce, and code meet — where a tailor in Lagos and a buyer in Abuja are only a tap apart, and where local craftsmanship gets the global-stage infrastructure it deserves.
Afrigora is not a side project; it is the expression of a long-held dream to build products that matter in the tech world — products that create jobs, preserve heritage, and make everyday life easier for sellers and shoppers alike.
Mukarram did not build Afrigora alone. Alongside wonderful partners who share his hunger for impact, he has assembled a team that cares deeply about customers, quality, and the African fashion story. Together, they are turning that vision into something tangible — one store, one stitch, and one satisfied customer at a time.
“Build technology that dignifies African creativity — and lets every artisan compete on merit, not geography.”
