Afrigora Wallet is built on Xpress Wallet (Providus Express Wallet) with Providus Bank as our banking partner — the same stack used for regulated wallet and virtual-account services in Nigeria.

When you create an Afrigora wallet, you are registered once with Xpress Wallet. Afrigora keeps your balance and transaction history in sync so you can pay for orders, send money, and manage your account from the app.

Providus Bank provides the banking layer behind Xpress Wallet — including virtual account details where applicable — so your funds move through established financial infrastructure, not an informal balance.

Creating your wallet

Your wallet is not created automatically at signup. You set it up once in the Afrigora app when you are ready to pay or receive money.

• Sign in to the Afrigora app and open Wallet
• Complete a one-time setup with your BVN, date of birth, phone, and address
• Afrigora registers you with Xpress Wallet in a single step — no separate provider signup
• You receive your wallet balance and, where available, virtual account details for funding
• Set a 4-digit transfer PIN before sending money or withdrawing

Wallet setup requires valid KYC details. Keep your BVN and contact information accurate — the same BVN cannot be used on two Afrigora accounts.

What you can do

Your Afrigora wallet is more than a checkout button. It is your money hub inside the marketplace.

• Pay for orders, tailor bids, and services at checkout from your balance
• Fund your wallet and see your balance update in real time
• Transfer to other Afrigora users who have wallets
• Send money to a bank account through the integrated payout rail
• Buy airtime and pay utility bills where available in the app
• View full transaction history and track withdrawals

Paying with your wallet

At checkout you can choose wallet as your payment method. The order amount is debited from your balance through Xpress Wallet, and Afrigora records the transaction in your ledger immediately.

Escrow-related payouts and refunds also flow through the same partner stack when configured — so sellers and customers stay aligned with what the app shows.

Security and control

• Transfer PIN required for outbound transfers, bank payouts, and withdrawal requests
• PIN is stored securely — Afrigora never displays it back to you
• Balance refreshes from Xpress when your wallet is linked, so top-ups via virtual account reflect in the app
• Use the Afrigora app for all wallet actions — web shows a download prompt for full wallet features
