Invite & earn

Two codes. Two ways to earn.

Afrigora gives every account two referral codes — one for shoppers, one for sellers. When people you invite buy or sell on the platform, you earn a share credited to your Afrigora wallet.

At a glance

Dual codes

Customer code for shoppers. Vendor code for stores and tailors.

Wallet payouts

Earnings land in your Afrigora wallet; withdraw when eligible.

Everyone included

Both codes are created for every account — no extra signup.

The two referral codes

They look similar (AFR-XXXXXXXX) but attach to different signup paths and earn on different events. Never swap them.

Customer code

When to use it

  • Someone is signing up as a customer (shopper) on Afrigora.
  • They enter your code at registration or open your invite link.
  • Google sign-up with customer intent and your code also counts for new accounts.

What you earn

A percentage of the tax on their paid orders — not a discount taken from the friend. Earnings are funded by the platform and paid into your wallet when qualifying orders are completed.

The base rate is configured on the platform (commonly around 2% of order tax). Afrigora staff roles (admin, editor, agent, operations, accountant) may earn a higher effective rate on this track.

Example (illustrative)

  • Your friend completes an order with ₦10,000 in tax.
  • At a 2% referral rate on tax, you earn ₦200 on that order.
  • Staff referrers at 4% effective would earn ₦400 on the same tax base.

Vendor / tailor code

When to use it

  • Someone registers as a vendor (store owner), tailor, or producer on Afrigora.
  • They use your vendor code at signup — not the customer code.
  • Vendor registration on the web: /register/vendor or /register/tailor with ?ref=YOUR-VENDOR-CODE.

What you earn

A configured share of Afrigora's escrow platform fee each time that business completes a sale through protected checkout — on every qualifying release, not just their first order.

The share is a percentage of the platform fee (not the full order value). For example, if Afrigora's fee on a sale is ₦1,000 and the referral share is 50%, you earn ₦500 on that release. Exact percentages are set in platform configuration and shown in your Invite & earn dashboard.

Example (illustrative)

  • A store you referred completes a sale where Afrigora's platform fee is ₦1,000.
  • With a 50% referral share of that fee, you earn ₦500.
  • You can keep earning on their future sales while they stay active on Afrigora.

Who can participate?

Every Afrigora user receives both referral codes automatically — customers, vendors, tailors, and staff. You do not need a special application.

Use the customer code only for shopper signups and the vendor code only for business signups. Using the wrong code type will not attribute the referral correctly.

When do you get paid?

  • Customer (tax) commissions: when a referred shopper pays for an order and tax is applied on that order.
  • Vendor (fee) commissions: when escrow releases include a platform fee for a sale from a business you referred.
  • Successful payouts appear in your wallet under referral commission categories and in your commission history in Invite & earn.
  • Failed or skipped rows may appear in history if an order did not meet payout rules — check status in your dashboard.

Wallet, history, and withdrawal

  • All referral earnings credit your Afrigora wallet (same wallet used for shopping and payouts).
  • Open Invite & earn (/referral) to see both codes, stats, and a unified commission list filtered by tax vs vendor fee.
  • Withdraw through the wallet flow when you meet minimum balance and KYC requirements for your account.
  • Regenerating a code creates a new code for future signups only — people already linked to you stay linked.

Important rules

  • You cannot refer yourself or use your own code on a new account you control.
  • Referral attribution generally applies at signup (first valid code wins for that account).
  • Invalid or expired codes are rejected at registration with an error — double-check you shared the right code type.
  • Rates and whether vendor-fee sharing is active depend on platform settings; your live rates appear on GET /referral/me when logged in.
  • Abuse, fraud, or misleading promotion may lead to suspension under Afrigora Terms and marketplace policies.

Frequently asked questions

Do my friends get a discount if they use my code?
No. Referral rewards are paid to you from the platform's side on qualifying tax or platform fees. Your friends pay normal marketplace prices unless a separate promotion applies.
I am both a shopper and a vendor. Which code do I share?
Share your customer code with people who only want to buy. Share your vendor code with someone opening a store or tailor profile. Keep both — they work independently.
What if I regenerate my code?
Old codes stop working for new signups. Everyone already attributed to you remains linked; you keep earning on their activity.
Where do I find my codes?
Log in and open Invite & earn at /referral. You can copy, share, and regenerate each code there.
Does Google sign-up support referrals?
Yes for new Google accounts. Use signup links with ?ref=YOUR-CODE or the Google flow with the correct signup intent (customer vs owner/tailor) and referralCode parameter as documented for your app.
Why do staff earn more on customer tax referrals?
Afrigora applies a staff multiplier on the base tax referral rate for team roles (admin, editor, agent, operations, accountant) to reward official growth efforts. Your dashboard shows your effective percentage.
